Dear Parents and Students,
As we navigate through the evolving landscape of distance learning, we are always looking to improve and refine our practice. The number one question we are seeking to answer is, “What is best for our Del Mar students?” With that, we are excited to bring you a new schedule that students will engage in beginning on Monday, April 20th. Dear Parents and Guardians,
I would like to express my gratitude for your tremendous efforts in partnering with our teachers to help our students continue learning while at home. I hope our elementary students are enjoying their first specialist day today which focuses solely on the programs they usually experience throughout the week. Our Dear Del Mar Students,
Welcome back to Distance Learning. We hope you all had some fun and relaxing times during Spring Break. We wanted to reach out to each of you and let you know how much we miss seeing you at school and to reassure you that just because we don’t get to see each other, we haven’t forgotten about you. We think about you every day and wonder how you are managing to deal with these challenging times. Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am hopeful this week has provided a well-deserved break for you and your families to spend time together and share new experiences during this unprecedented time. As I mentioned earlier this week and was announced here, the Reed Union School District along with all other Marin County and Bay Area schools, will continue to provide distance learning through the remainder of the school year. Dear Parents and Guardians,
This press release from Marin Health and Human Services confirms that schools in six Bay Area counties will continue to provide distance learning through the remainder of the school year. Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we complete our third week of distance learning, I am confident that students, parents and RUSD staff alike will enjoy a week to unplug, take a step back, and simply enjoy free time with family members. We have been challenged in ways we have not been before and personally I know I will take time to reflect, refuel and refocus. Dear Students and Parents,
This has certainly been three weeks no one had anticipated. First and foremost, I hope you and your families are well and safe. These are extraordinary times and as we are all trying to adjust to novel circumstances, I have been thinking a lot about putting our individual and collective experiences into perspective. I wanted to share my thoughts with all of you, both staff and parents, for your consideration.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Governor Newsom's announcement today that schools would continue distance learning for the remainder of the school year was supported by a letter that was received by superintendents yesterday from State Superintendent Tony Thurmond. Dear Del Mar Families and Students,
As we have recently learned, our Distance Learning plan has been extended through May 1st, 2020. This means that we will be engaging in at least six weeks of learning from home. |
