Dear Del Mar Families, This week marks our final week of distance learning for academic classwork. Please note that June 9th is the last day that assignments will be accepted (by 8 pm). School will continue next week, but will shift to a focus on fun activities, including the Talent Show, the Spring Concert, and various grade-level and department activities. HERE is a tentative schedule of events that will be happening throughout the week. Check it out! Live links will be sent each morning. With Gratitude, Principal Brian Lynch More important information follows! Dear Parents and Guardians,
I, like so many others in our nation, am heartbroken and outraged by the injustices our African American and people of color experience every day in our country. Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you were able to enjoy a relaxing and fun Memorial Day weekend. We are down to just over two weeks left in this very unique and challenging school year, looking forward to a time of reflection and renewal over the summer break. Dear families,
Please take a few minutes to review important information regarding the end of the school year. I miss seeing you all and I hope you continue to be well and safe during these times. Sincerely, Brian Lynch, Principal Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last night’s Board of Trustees meeting resulted in the approval of several items that are important for you to know as we move into the final weeks of the school year and distance learning. Dear Parents and Guardians,
In my last update, I confirmed that our first day of school for the 2020-21 school year will be August 20, which has been negotiated with our Teacher’s Association and approved by the Board of Trustees. We understand and acknowledge that distance learning is not the same as learning in the classroom and that some students may have learning gaps in the fall due to the school closures. Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well and developing new family rhythms as we are now in the 7th week of Shelter in Place. Principal's Message:
Dear Parents and Guardians, Thank you for helping your children engage in our new live class meetings, and for overseeing their focus on completion of school work as we pass the mid-way point of our third and final trimester, a trimester like no other. Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well and discovering creative ways to cope with our current reality during Shelter in Place. Please read the following document that reflects some of the comments I made during the April 14th Board of Trustees meeting where I discussed our distance learning program. I provided an overview of the program, rationale for the decisions we have made, and addressed questions that have been asked by some parents during our transition to a distance learning model. |
